Potterat, J.
J., Dowe, T., & Brewer, D. D. (2000). Who among us? Cadets and
prostitutes don’t mix. Journal of Sex Research, 37, 387-388.
In
this letter, we respond to a book review that incorrectly suggested
there is a particularly high level
of prostitution in Colorado Springs and that U.S. Air Force Academy
cadets
make up a substantial proportion of clients there. Rather, we
show
that the extent of prostitution in Colorado Springs is quite likely
typical
of communities in the U.S. and that Air Force cadets do not seem to
patronize
local prostitutes to any significant degree.
